Marcos Rojo: I don’t understand Wayne Rooney’s jokes

The Argentina international joined United from Sporting Lisbon during the summer transfer window but is still getting to grips with the local language.

And the defender concedes that both he and fellow new arrival Angel Di Maria often fail to understand what their captain is talking about.

“He [Rooney] jokes at me and Angel but I have to admit we don’t understand his jokes – because we don’t speak English,” Rojo told the Sun.

“Soon I will understand because I want to learn the language and I am already taking lessons.”
